Oyetola’s administration has zero tolerance for violence and crime –Edu Commissioner

Osun Commissioner for Education, Hon. Folorunso Oladoyin has disclosed that the administration of Governor Oyetola has zero tolerance to violence and crime in the state.

He made this known while addressing parents of Baptist Government High School, Osogbo.

Hon Oladoyin who has once ordered that the school be reopened, decided to close back the school over the refusal of the concerned parents to pay the one thousand five Hundred naira fine to be paid by the erring  students  for damages incurred during the recent riot. 

The Commissioner who expressed his displeasure over the conducts of the students, urged parents to constantly advise their children, saying the twenty two students arrested in connection with the riot will be prosecuted.

The commissioner who has ordered the immediate electronic records of Students in the state said the record will begin with students of Baptist Government High School, Osogbo. 

Also speaking the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Hon. Jamiu Olawumi advised parents to desist from aiding their children in perpetrating bad habits.

Hon. Jamiu also advised parents to play their part in taking care of their children as the government is ready to do its own part by giving the children the best.

The special Adviser while speaking further, said the government is planning to recruit more teachers, advising parents to give their children adequate home training.

Also speaking, the Coordinating Director, Tutor General central, the PTA chairman, Ataoja Government High School, the chairman, Nigerian Union of Teachers all urged parents to adequately take care of their children and should  always advise them to stay away from crime.
